Voss is a fairly small village close to the west coast of Norway, 100 km east of Bergen. The population for the area is around 15.000 people and most services are available locally. The region of Voss is very orientated towards sports and tourism.
Annually the extreme sports week (Ekstremsportveko) is held at Voss. Their events attracts many visitors and global attention to sports in the region, and has in many ways established Voss as the Norwegian capitol of extreme and adventure-sports.
